Katrine Kielos is an economics columnist, financial journalist and author. Her journalism covers the global economy, bond markets and central banks. She writes a weekly column for Finansmagasinet at EFN, Sweden’s financial news network, and hosts Världsekonomin, EFN’s podcast on the global economy.

Her book Who Cooked Adam Smith’s Dinner? has been translated into more than twenty languages and was named one of The Guardian’s Books of the Year. Margaret Atwood described it as “a smart, funny and readable book on women, economics and money.”

Mother of Invention was shortlisted for Business Book of the Year in Germany and longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction in the United States. It was selected as one of Waterstones’ Best Political Books in the United Kingdom and one of Indigo’s Top 10 Business Books in Canada.

Her third book, Not Worth It: Myths about Women and Money, is published in Swedish. An English edition is forthcoming in 2027.

She moderates international conferences on economics and finance, including the Nobel Prize Economics Seminar, and speaks internationally on macroeconomics, women and money.
